Decontamination Specialist – UK

We’re looking for a Decontamination Specialist who will strive to align the team’s objectives with our current business goals. Based at our headquarters in Cambridge initially and in between projects, this is predominantly a field-based position working with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Concurrently oversee multiple projects requiring frequent communication and collaboration between internal teams and external customers in the UK and other locations
  • Survey, report, train, and advise customers on the use of CMR Versius Instrument reprocessing instructions
  • Keep up to date with a working knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and guidance documents for medical device decontamination, reprocessing, and sterilisation
  • Conduct reprocessing, sterilisation risk assessments and input to IFU generation and reprocessing-related UFMEAs
  • Update relevant documentation for existing products to ensure compliance with country-specific requirements and international standards
  • Deliver offsite training to SSD customers
  • Collaborate with Professional Education to help deliver technical training as an assistant role

About you

You’ll need to be enthusiastic about Sterile Services and enjoy working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, interacting with clinicians, engineers, medical professionals, technicians, and business partners.

In addition:

  • Strong relevant experience working within Sterile Services and instrument reprocessing
  • Currently training and auditing SSD programs
  • Knowledge of Sterile Services environment, terminology and common procedures including an appreciation of best practice and the challenges of working in this environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare Sterile Services industry and trends
  • A genuine interest and passion for training and educating groups of professionals
  • Ability to build relationships with key customers and contribute within a team environment
  • Clear and concise verbal and written presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with highly technical material, particularly a strong ability to present the complex in clear, simple terms
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and use MS Office application
  • A genuine desire to help and support team members so that we can all achieve our best

While ultimately you may spend much of your time with customers in the field, you should be prepared to initially spend time at our Headquarters in Cambridge as well as when you are in-between projects. There may be extensive national and international travel, so a willingness and flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time is essential.

You will be fluent in English (native speaker equivalent), additional European languages would be advantageous.
