*Electronics Sustaining Engineer

We’re looking for a talented Electronics Sustaining Engineer. You’ll be an integral part of the Electronics Development team focusing on the post launch aspects of our amazing Versius robot. You’ll help supply chain to maintain and improve the supply of electronics components and assemblies and assist in the implementation of electronics design changes into manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Helping to resolve electronic component and assembly procurement issues and identifying alternate parts
  • Identifying design changes to help improve electronics part supply or reduce costs
  • Working with the electronics design teams to help move design improvements through to implementation
  • Writing change requests and managing them through the change process
  • Writing concessions to implement temporary changes to the manufacturing and test processes
  • Creating and updating cable assembly drawings and BoMs
  • Creating and updating procurement specifications for bought-in electronic assemblies

About you 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:

  • Good understanding of electronics designs and processes
  • Good understanding of electronics procurement and manufacturing processes
  • Relevant experience in a similar field with a track record of helping to maintain electronics procurement and manufacturing
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure design information and changes are captured accurately and when reviewing the work of others ensure it is accurate and consistent
  • Clear written and verbal communication to ensure information is conveyed accurately and unambiguously within the electronics department and wider team
