Reward Manager

We’re looking for an exceptional Reward Manager to join our People Team, based in Cambridge. Reporting to Head of People Europe and Americas, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our compensation, incentive, benefit, recognition, and share plan programs to attract, retain, and motivate our talent.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office.

Responsibilities

Outline of responsibilities:

  • Compensation Strategy: Develop and execute a differentiated compensation strategy, providing expert guidance that aligns with our organisational goals.
  • Incentive Programs: Design and manage incentive programs, serving as the go-to expert for bonus and sales incentive structures to reward high performance.
  • Benefits Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Recognition Programs: Establish and manage employee recognition programs, leveraging your expertise to create a culture of gratitude, appreciation and motivation.
  • Share Plans: Partnering with our Legal function, act as an expert in administering equity-based compensation plans to eligible employees.
  • Market Research: Conduct expert-level market research to benchmark compensation and benefits against industry and geographical standards and provide strategic guidance.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, utilizing your deep knowledge in compensation and benefits practices.
  • Budget Management: Use your expertise to manage the reward budget effectively, optimising costs while delivering competitive packages.
  • Performance: Collaborate with Talent Development to evolve our approach to performance management, aligning performance and reward.
  • Policy Development: Establish and maintain reward policies and guidelines, drawing upon your extensive knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to reward programs.

We’re a rapidly developing company and roles can change and evolve. You’ll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the People remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:

  • Extensive, proven experience in compensation, benefits, and rewards management.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation structures, incentive programs, and employee benefits.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide expert insights.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align reward strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are a plus.

You will also be:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving and project execution.
  • Attention to detail and analytical orientation.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Adaptability to evolving industry trends and business needs.
